This is 9 weeks out from the competition date for Andrew. So far he's increased his cardio time from 30 minutes to 40 minutes since he started a few weeks ago. We can see some veins starting to be visible and a slight hint of definition coming in. His abs lines are starting to show as well. We can see some slight separation in the quads as of this week. Lots of time left to drop roughly 10 lbs while retaining his lean mass. Some of his heavy sets I didn't add in the video. They don't look great but it does help him keep his strength up.
The workout sets are in order as I filmed them. He starts off with biceps and ends up doing biceps. A bit different from my bicep workout from last year's video where I just switch off from biceps to triceps set after set. You can try different workouts just to change it up and shock the muscles for growth.
Hanh, I was 100 pounds last year, and this year, I weigh 130 pounds... My overall goal is too weigh 190... But i can't no longer because my apetite is gone, I no longer crave. I used to eat every 2-4 hours (I eat 5-7 meals weekday, and eat buffets weekends... Now, I lost my apetite... I used to be able to drink and finish 4 scoops of my protein shake in one go... Now I can only drink 2 scoops. I can't finish a single meal no more... I become full to quickly, have you experienced this? Whats wrong with me? ):
ReplyDeleteyour meals are too big. Try some creatine. It'll help with appetite. Buffets are not good. Its way out of portion.
ReplyDeletehow tall is andrew?
ReplyDeletehi Hanh! This is rather embarassing but is it normal to take a shit twice a day while bulking?
ReplyDeletehuhitsroy- 5' 6
ReplyDeletedronkos- Thats not normal. You're eating too big of meals that your body is not even having a chance to absorb all the nutrients. Also you're probably eating junk your body doesn't like so its trying to push it out as fast as it can. Eat clean and it will regulate your digestive system.
Hann man, I did so many programs that I don't even know which one works and which one doesn't anymore, I understand a specific program is not 100% suitable for all, but is there a base program that I can follow and pretty sure it works?? My diet is considering little to no carbs and lots of protein and some fats, trying to lose weight here man, appreciated for any input.
ReplyDeleteany routine is going to vary from person to person, cause we use what works best for ourselfs, ive only been training for one year but a lot of that time was spent with trial and error, with food, routines planning muscle groups and what can be done in an hour

ReplyDeleteI am confused, all the top bodybuilders out there are breaking the rules. Someone told me to curl with the elbows nailed to the body... while someone else said to cheat, my training partner is bring in all these types of methods for training, like pause reps, drop sets, negative reps and they are killing me. I am just sore for beyond a week... Should i learn to cope with the soreness and try to keep up with my training partner?
ReplyDeleteLift Heavy 2010- Check my beginner's guide in the archieve.
ReplyDeleteEctomorphicBuilder- You should be fine after a day or two of rest. If not you are not getting in enough nutrients to repair your muscles. Form is not really important unless you're doing something retarded like trying to squat heavy and making it look like a good-morning. Then yes you're asking to get hurt. Its not ever going to be perfect. You go for a pump. Its more about doing the work then thinking about every little detail. Everything outside of the gym is important.
Hanh, will you be able to show us what Andrew is eating while hes leaning/bulking? I like to see how others work and try their way to see if it can help me or not.
ReplyDeleteYou've probably gotten this question before, but out of curiosity, do you ever plan on competing? You seem to have great size (especially for someone who's natural) and great proportionality, and would do really well in one. Are you just waiting for the right moment (bringing up your hams) or do you just enjoy going through the motions hahaha?
ReplyDeleteDamnnn. Andrew's startin to cut out pretty decent!!
ReplyDeletedamn Hanh, Andrew is pretty big, his work outs are pretty effective, ive been doing pretty much same routines plus more, great job
ReplyDeleteGood effort. I am not a bodybuilder and also I am not interested to do this kind of risk jobs but I like to watch. Really you are a champion bodybuilder.
